Recently transplanted from the San Francisco Bay Area, Eryn Hughes has come to Trek of Pittsburgh at Shadyside, as our new manager. With a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley; she is simultaneously pursuing a Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. Her several years experience in the bike industry and advocacy, while coaching a high school racing team and founding a women’s cycling club; brings pro-active enthusiasm to our cycling community.
As someone who’s never chosen to drive, she’s getting acquainted with bike commuter routes and resources. Whenever she’s not working, she’s out learning the trails, cooking vegan food, preparing for her 7th year racing mountain bikes and cyclocross, and doing research for her bicycle lifestyle webzine, Velomuse.
